I can't even begin to describe where to start off. Well after getting a fantastic gift from ~Sakura004 of a drawing of Lanny [link] this, let alone, showed me how much I love lanny. period. Though he isn't my horse, I still call him "mine" because I love him ever so much. This picture just made me cry happy tears because I miss riding him so much.
Lanny, is the horse I normally ride during lessons, and is the first horse I rode on at my very first horse show ever. Being a 20+ high strung TB we won a 2nd place in a flat class and competing in a class that had the horse who won Grand Champion. At first, when I first rode Lanny for the first time, it seemed that he was too quick for my liking. However, as time passed I learned his ways and how to control him, and I love him (have I expressed that too much)
Sadly the very next day after my very first horse show Lanny got hurt in his turnout from his stall where he rolled and got his two hind end legs caught in the wiring resulting in his back right leg getting cut up. Now he's been on stall rest up till now and is getting better and better. Lanny has been putting wieght on his foot and is moving about, which I hope he can be at least lightly ridden possibly this week. Perhaps I can ask my instructor,when the time comes, if I can lightly ride him-only walk, I seriously don't care as long as I get to be on him. Goodness I love that TB so so much.
I think I'm going to go to the barn an hour early before my lesson and just sit in his little private pasture and just be there with him, and give him all the love he can get. Plus I'll bring him an apple (:. Yes, thats what I'll do. (For those who are unaware, Lanny is the horse I am riding in my dev id) Maybe even give him a bath. I'll have a photoshoot of just him on Saturday and just take picture after picture. I miss riding him ever so much, and we were just starting to get used to each other too.
Maybe I can get my uncle to come out to the stables and take pictures of us in his pasture and give him even more love. I just want the person to be me that gets to get back on his back, even if its just walking.
